IMO compliant marine and industrial sound signals and air horns

Kahlenberg UK will be showing many of the popular models in the Kahlenberg range of marine air horns, sound signal controllers and accessories at the Southampton Boat Show in September.

Visitors to our stand G077 in Ocean Hall will also be able to get great advice on the importance of sound signals on any boat along with practical information on how to fit models in the range and details of auto-controllers that leave you free to concentrate on your watch-keeping when bad visibility hits.

Among the sound signals on show will be the ultra-compact K-Series marine air horns, the single, dual and triple trumpet Kahlenberg Zero Series marine air horns and larger models in the range.

Kahlenberg UK is pleased to announce the launch of the new D-330 twin trumpet marine air horn and S-330 single trumpet heated marine air horn at Seawork International 2012.

The Kahlenberg D-330 provides a fully IMO compliant ABS type approved twin trumpet sound signal in an economic and compact package suitable for use on vessels between 20m (65ft) and 75m (246ft). It is particularly suitable where low installation weight is desirable.

The D-330 has been carefully designed in Kahlenberg’s anechoic chamber to provide a consistently powerful and distinctive sound for a minimum of air supply.

Kahlenberg UK, the European distributor for US manufacturer Kahlenberg Industries Inc, is seeking high quality dealers in selected European countries to sell the fully IMO-compliant range of Kahlenberg marine air horns, electric horns and sound signalling accessories.

Dealers are particularly sought in France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Kahlenberg UK has seen much interest in the universal IMO compliance of its Kahlenberg air horns and electric horns at Seawork International 2011 commercial marine exhibition in Southampton.

Products on display include the Kahlenberg KB-30 horn/hailer, a set of Chimetone D-1 air horns, a Kahlenberg KM-250-DVM-H air horn and the new Kahlenberg S-330 marine air horn. Also on show is the M-611 sound and light signal controller.

Speaking from the show today, company chairman Piers du Pré confirmed that there was a common theme to many of the enquiries on the stand, with particular interest centered on the fact that all Kahlenberg sound signals are compliant with the requirements of the IMO and inland waterway authorities.

"Any operator of owner of a boat should be familiar with their responsibilities under the ColRegs and other legislation such as the European CEVNI rules," Piers stated, "but of course this is particularly acute for commercial operations where vessels are often in use 24 hours a day, in all conditions.
